Battery door for ProCo RAT's! Choose between vintage and modern:
MODERN: For newer RATs (including big box re-issue). Includes new OEM battery door, two sizes of black thumb screws, and battery clip with double sided tape.
VINTAGE: Vintage style battery door with silver thumbscrew. These are near-exact replicas of the battery door found on vintage small box RAT's! These are produced in-house with a 20awg steel, laser cut edges, and a semi-gloss flat black finish that very closely matches the original RAT finish.
Which door do I need?
-If the battery door opening is 1 1/8" (28.5mm) wide, it takes a vintage door.
-If the battery door opening is 1 1/2" (38.1mm) wide, it takes a modern door.
Which screw do I need? A quick way to check size is by plugging a 3.5mm headphone plug into the screw hole. There are two types of black screws with different threading, if you are not certain about which one to get it is safer to get both.
-If the hole is about 2.8mm (less than 1/8") it takes a Silver screw.
-If the hole is about 4mm (larger than 1/8") and the serial number sticker says "MADE IN U.S.A.", it (probably) takes a Black 10-24 screw.
-If the hole is about 4mm (larger than 1/8") and the serial number sticker does NOT say U.S.A, it (probably) takes a Black M5 screw.
NOTE! There are some odd transition era RATs that use a modern door and vintage style silver screw. Please check measurements on your RAT, vintage style silver screws can be purchased separately here.
