Choose between normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC). If using for tap-tempo or other external accessory applications, it is worth checking owners/service manual, or reaching out to find out if you need normally open or closed. In general, most companies use normally open. Boss/Roland typically use normally closed. Not always the case though, worth doing some research first.
